Another book

A few years ago, Paul had tried to get an agent and/or publisher for his novel. No one bit, however, so he self-published it, under a pen name, recently.

It's actually pretty good. I irritated him, though, because when I read it, my response was, "I've read worse novels."

That wasn't exactly the response he was looking for, although he knows that I'm good at being "objective," and that was a fairly nice comment. Plus, I have to keep him on his toes, right?

When he asked what letter grade I would give it, I said a B+ -- so that's actually pretty darn good.

Anyway, I made some muffins today that were a little bit experimental. I asked him what he thought, since I can't eat them.

"I've had worse muffins," he said.

Babe, books and boy bands

The baby smiles like crazy all the time now; I can sometimes get him to laugh, but he's not a super-giggly guy.

I've been doing tons of reading, most of it is fairly mindless, but I'm also rereading Pride and Prejudice.

The girls have gotten fixated on One Direction, a British boy band created by the "X Factor" TV show. We're going to see them in June.
